Sichuan Province Overview
Sichuan Province, abbreviated as Chuan in Chinese, is located on the southwest of China, along the upper reaches of Yangtze River. It covers an area of over 490,000 square kilometers, and has a population of 86.42 million. The capital city of Sichuan Province is Chengdu.

Sichuan Province Geography: Sichuan province's terrain geradually descends from west to east as it has Mt. Min Shan, Mt. Qionglai Shan, Mt. Daxue Shan, Mt. Shaluli Shan and Mt. Xiaoxiang ling in the west and Sichuan basin in the east. Major rivers in Sichuan are Yangtze River and its local branches, like Yalong River, Min River, Dadu River, Tuo River, Jialing River etc.

Sichuan Province Climate: Sichuan province enjoys diversifiled climate. The east basin area enjoys subtropical moist monsoon climate, characterized with mild temperature and annual rainfall of 800 ~ 1,200 mm, the average annual temperature is between 16 ~ 18 ℃. The west mountains area enjoys temperate subtropical highland climate, characterized with colder temperature and strong sunshine, and the average annual temperature is between 6 ~ 12 ℃. .

Sichuan Province Agriculture: Sichuan has been an affluent area with well developed agriculture throughout China's history. It is one of the majar production base of grain, oil and pig.

Sichuan Province Industry: Sichuan has the most advanced and complete industrial system in west China and it plays an important role in metallurgy, chemicals, machinery and space navigation etc.

Tourist Resources of Sichuan Province: Sichuan has well developed tourism. It has the world famous Jiuzhaigou, Huanglong, Mt. Emai, Wolong Nature Reserve etc.
